Hope Love and Kindness is a religious community outreach organization that serves individuals and families affected by hardship, including those impacted by incarceration, through spiritual support, mentoring, and practical assistance. Our organization has worked with Team Resurrection Inc. for approximately 16 years, and we have seen firsthand their dedication to individuals returning from incarceration in Newark and Essex County.

Through our relationship with Team Resurrection Inc., we have observed them:

• Respond quickly when individuals are released from prison without safe housing;
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally humble support, including emergency housing and reentry case management; and
• Communicate clearly and consistently with community partners to coordinate care.

When we refer individuals to Team Resurrection Inc., we see genuine follow-through, respect for participant dignity, and a strong commitment to helping people stabilize and rebuild their lives. Their work fills a critical gap in our community by offering short-term emergency housing and structured reentry support grounded in compassion and accountability.

Based on our direct experience partnering with them, I believe Team Resurrection Inc. and Ms. McCall have the capacity, integrity, and community trust to successfully implement NJLEAD Category B reentry supportive services.
